Welcome to the blog of Aglaea Designs!

Aglaea Designs are the creations of me, Kelly! I live in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State where I work as a graphic designer. I see beauty everyday. It could be my ride to work where I drive through lovely landscapes or a font I come across for a job or the people I surround myself with, the inspiration comes from everywhere.

This is where I live!

Art has always been a part of my life, having taken a drawing or painting or art history or pottery class since I was a child through the present time. Then I came across etsy.com and thought 'hey, why not', so I set up shop and Aglaea Designs was born! My mind is always filled with ideas of the next project and am using my etsy shop to display them!

After being in the etsy community for a while I kept hearing how other shop owners had blogs and checked some of them out. It seemed like a cool idea, I could have a place to put down all those ideas that are going through my head.

My purpose for this blog is to share all those 'pretty things'. It could be a book, a website, someone else's blog, a cool font, an etsy shop, whatever! And this will also be a place for me to share my artist process, to talk about my latest project, show off some sketches - anything!!

And I'd love to get comments, so follow along and check back often, you never know what you might see!!
